Sage Line 50 is the most popular accounting system in UK. This is what made Sage the success it is now. However the database which is used by Line 50 is proprietary to Sage and it is difficult to post information (like invoices, etc.) to it unless you use the Sage Objects Library provided by Sage to developers like us.
There are many software applications which can be developed for Line 50 to do various requirements the Sage users have. However there is a cost associated with it and the user does most of it the long-winded way because of this cost. At AvisSoft we have produced a few modules using the Sage Objects and intend to add more as user requirements come in.
We have synchronised the Sage Data to Microsoft Access database making all the accounting information available in Access. This database can be then used by anyone requiring reports and analyses. As Access can understand complex SQL commands, it is able to analyse the data better and faster. We have included some useful analyses and reports using this. Very soon there will be a report writer inside our product for users to write their own reports.
